To ensure optimal deliverability, you can perform actions on your domain name.

In layman's terms, you can allow Sellsy to send email from your domain name, which will prevent some of your mails to be classified as spam.

To perform this authorization, you must modify DNS entries in your domain.

If you do not have technical skills, speak to your hosting company or IT department.

Adding a SPF entry

The SPF is a simple email-validation system designed to detect email spoofing.

It allows an authorized domain to send emails on behalf of another domain.

To add an SPF entry for Sellsy, add this line to your DNS configuration:

@ 3600 IN TXT "v=spf1 ~all"

Note: domain is used by the provider we use to route your emails.

If you already have an SPF entry, for example if you use Google Apps, do not add a new entry but complete the existing entry:

@ 3600 IN TXT "v=spf1 ~all"

Adding a SPF2 entry

Some servers, including Microsoft (Outlook, Hotmail ...) use a proprietary version of SPF. So add the following line:

@ 3600 IN TXT "v=spf2.0/pra ~all"

Case of the Marketing add-on

If you're using our Marketing add-on to send mass emailing campaigns, you should also add our partner's IP addresses ( and to your SPF.

@ 3600 IN TXT "v=spf1 a ip4: ip4: ~all"

and of course, it's SPF2 version:

@ 3600 IN TXT "v=spf2.0/pra ip4: ip4: ip4: ~all"

Adding a DKIM entry

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is a reliable domain name authentication standard of the sender of an email.

To add a DKIM entry for Sellsy, add this line to your DNS configuration:

smtpapi._domainkey 10800 IN TXT "k = rsa; t = s; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDPtW5iwpXVPiH5FzJ7Nrl8USzuY9zqqzjE0D1r04xDN6qwziDnmgcFNNfMewVKN2D1O+2J9N14hRprzByFwfQW76yojh54Xu3uSbQ3JP0A7k8o8GutRF8zbFUA8n0ZH2y0cIEjMliXY4W4LwPA7m4q0ObmvSjhd63O9d8z1XkUBwIDAQAB"

Once these changes made, validate the update of your DNS records.
